About

My Story

I have been a musician all my life – my earliest memories include me reaching up and hitting piano keys, and the sound of Leonard Bernstein conducting the New York Philharmonic on family record albums. I always wanted to be a conductor, and have been, but I certainly never sought to be a composer – I always thought they were a weird lot. And then several years ago I began composing music. I now humbly, proudly, and happily take a seat at the table of weirdness.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

– Hebrews 13:15-16

The point is not to take the world’s opinion as a guiding star but to go one’s way in life and work unerringly, neither depressed by failure nor seduced by applause.
